Description: The nursery is available for babies and toddlers who are not yet potty trained. Please bring everything your child will need including but not limited to diapers, wipes, snacks, drinks, toys, etc. Please be sure toys brought into the co-op nursery are safe and appropriate for children under the age of 2 as there will likely be sharing of toys. We will not actually be in the nursery room of the church this time, so keep this in mind.

Name: Games for Teens

Description: This class will be purely social! I will bring in a variety of board and card games every week and students are also welcome to bring their own. There will be traditional games, as well as some newer ones. I hope students will have fun revisiting old favorites and enjoy learning how to play a variety of new games. They will be able to pick and choose what they want to play each class.

Name: American Girl Class

Description: We will watch Kit Kittredge, eat popcorn and make crafts.

Name: Lego Building Class

Description: Show your creativity as you build with your Legos. Each week we will have a different theme/goal. At the end of each class, there will be a show and tell time. Students need to bring their own Legos.

Name: Fun with Art

Description: Each week we will do a new art project with a different focus. All ages welcome and I will adjust a little for various levels (elementary, jr, high school). Possible projects currently looking at doing: Melted Crayon Canvas, Name Painting, Dot Pictures, Van Goghs Sunflowers. Students need to be potty trained, be able to pay attention, have basic craft skills (use scissors, color, glue, etc).

Name: High School Greek Mythology

Description: This will be a very basic Greek mythology introduction class. This is something that most students do take in college. I want to look at it from a Christian prospective so that when they are presented with it in college they know what is and is not true. It will be a lecture and note taking class with a test at the end so the kids can get a full credit on their transcripts. Students will need a notebook and pencil for this class.

Name: Creative Writing

Description: We will learn to write short stories, poems, novels, and learn the process for publishing. Students must bring a notebook, folder, and pencils for this class.

Name: Beginning to Sign

Description: We will start to learn the basics of Sign Language and will perform a song at the closing program. Students will need to bring a folder for this class.

Name: Learn to Crochet

Description: We will learn a basic chain, and the following stitches: slip, single, double and half double. Boys and girls can do this. It is a good survivor skill :-)

Name: Drawing Animals

Description: In this class, we will draw animals. Artists need only rudimentary supplies and lots of enthusiasm. I will supply worksheets, etc. Students will need No.2 pencils (not mechanical), erasers, paper, pencil sharpener, colored pencils if desired. The serious artist should get as large and as high quality of paper as possible including a drawing board. The budget artist can use copy paper. Some may prefer a sketch book. Any or all of these will work.

Name: World Travelers

Description: Get your passports ready as we travel the world! Each week we will focus on a new country. We will learn its location and have fun while doing various activities like making crafts, learning part of the local language, maybe play local sports, and more! All ages are welcome, and I will adjust a little for the various levels (elementary, jr high, high school). Subjects covered: History, Geography, PE, Linguistics, and Art. Name: Business Book Keeping

Description: This class will be similar to the class that taught the kids budgets on a personal level it will be on a business level. They will be given a business plan and budget and they will have to do some research and work on balancing their budgets and how to make a profit. This will be a fun class but they will have work to turn in at the end for a grade. This also can be a great way to get a credit on their transcript. Students will need a notebook and pencil for this class.

Name: Introduction to Guitar

Description: We will start to learn the basic chords of guitar and learn a song to perform for parents at closing. Students need to bring a guitar and a folder for this class.

Name: Yearbook

Description: Students will work with yearbook coordinators to complete the production of the yearbook. A lot goes into making a yearbook; there are plenty of pages to be designed, photos to be taken. We will use both the fall and spring co-op to create the yearbook. Students will need a spiral bound notebook and a pen or pencil for class. If students have access to a laptop that could be taken to class, that would be helpful but not required. Students who wish to help with pictures will need a camera. Students will also need access to a computer and the internet at home.
