What is co-op?

Co-op is a cooperative put on by the homeschool group twice a year. It is a place where adults can pass on their talents to eager pupils just waiting to absorb it all. It is a great way to meet new people and connect with those we have not seen in a while. It is a whole lot of fun and a huge blessing to my family. Do I have you wanting to sign up yet?

When is co-op?

Co-op is held twice a year once in the spring and again in the fall. We meet for six weeks on Tuesday from 1-3pm.*** You must stay the entire two hours.*****If there is an hour your child is not interested in taking a class we have a study hall for grades 7-12 and a board game class from k-6th that are free of charge.

Where is it held?

Different churches have graciously allowed us to use their facility. Please leave the building as we find it, and not cause them to much headache because finding a new spot could be difficult.

How much does this cost?

It all depends on the classes you choose to sign up for. The teachers only charge for the class materials used in the class. Then there is a $7 Family fee that helps cover the cost of running Co-Op.

How do I get involved?

Teaching is a great rewarding experience and a wonderful way to get to know the kids. Don't be scared. I did not say you had to teach them physics, but if that is your strong suit have at it. You can teach anything your heart desires. Some of the classes offered in the past, painting, legos, electricity, learning about other countries, accounting, pottery, leather, poetry, expressive dance, sign language, learning your abc's (no flash cards), mechanics, and the nursery. You can also assist in any of the wonderful classes.
***** But you must help somewhere. This is a co-op, we can't do this without you!!! *****

Just remember.... the more involved you are the more likely your child will be placed in his or her first choice class.

Please keep watching the e-loop for reminders on when to sign up. Sign-up is done online so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the open registration dates.
